Operation Dry Water is an action by law enforcement across the country to bust drunk boaters. The operation is year-round and puts enormous amounts of law enforcement officers on duty arresting impaired boaters. CSK Creative shot and edited this PSA in Kentucky, and fun fact, it’s actually me getting the cuffs slapped on me in the thumbnail of the video. Good times. Here’s the video.
Law enforcement brought out a half dozen vehicles—boats and otherwise—to really make an impression for the last shot, so we brought out our handy eight-foot mini jib and did a crane move up for maximum effect. Under high-pressure situations like this, where everything has to be right, CSK Creative shines. We bring multiple cameras in case something happens to one of them and we need to switch over to a backup, which does happen.
If your videographer is only bringing one camera to a shoot it might be time to start asking yourself what would happen if you took all the time and money to set up your shoot and his or her camera breaks. Pretty scary thought when you only have once chance to get the shot.
JVC contacted CSK Creative to produce a product release video from start to finish for their new consumer camera line, the JVC Everio Quadproof Quadproof means it’s ready to withstand water, sand, snow and shock from being dropped so CSK Creative and the team at Florida Videographer were tasked with coming up with a way to demonstrate all these things in a cost-effective way.
Handling all levels of production on this project, CSK Creative pulled together a team out in Colorado for the winter shoot and executed the rest of the product video in Florida, including motion graphics. The final video can be seen below.
When Golf Digest called us to shoot an interview with Masters champion Jordan Spieth, we immediately complied. When they told us the original concept, we got even more excited. They planned to do a “Celebrities Read Mean Tweets” video with Spieth, but alas, being the most buzz-worthy golfer on the planet at the moment, his handlers said the barely-legal-to-drink Spieth would not be participating in anything that could potentially tarnish his sterling reputation.
What did they land on? A video of Spieth making a 90-foot putt (double his longest bomb on tour at the time) in the hotel hallway. The Golf Digest team tried for an hour to no avail, so we knew we had a formidable challenge for the young ace, and if that wasn’t hard enough, they decided to hit him with a series of pop-culture questions to try to crack his now-legendary Masters Champ concentration.
The New Jersey Institute of Technology Is one of the most progressive technology institutes in the world, but they don’t have the notoriety of a school like MIT, and the difference is marketing. That’s why NJIT came to CSK Creative to produce a shoot with both photos and video of the faculty with one environmental video as the centerpiece.
The video featured Cristian Borcea, Associate Professor of Computer Science at NJIT, discussing high-level technology challenges on the horizon. The video is intended to usher potential students into the site and catch their attention as well as their imagination to the potential of a career in Computer Science with a degree at NJIT.
The photos were all environmental portraits with the faculty in locations that made them feel comfortable. The faculty all had busy schedules and plenty of prior commitments so we shot all our interviews and photos with minimal disruption. The final result was a website that was not only extremely clean and aesthetic, but also informative. We couldn’t be happier with the result.

Well I didn’t see this one coming, but my JVC Everio product release video made it all the way to Times Square. JVC has a digital billboard in one of the most heavily trafficked areas in the world, and the video they have up for the worldwide release of the new Everio camera was created by CSK Creative.
The video is a mix of stock footage (because it would have cost too much to fly me to all these locations to shoot these scenes) with integrated motion graphics as well as live action footage I shot on location here in central florida. The live action shots are the field, cave diving and camping parts. The final graphics shot was composited with the actual Everio camera at my studio’s green screen. I did a screen replacement in After Effects as well as matted out the bolt needed to shoot the camera turning a perfect 360-degree rotation. The graphics we used were partly recycled from the last project we did and integrated with the spinning Everio camera, and the result is a polished graphics end card that integrates seamlessly with the look and feel of the JVC Everio camera. Check out the video below for the compositing (visual effects) as well as the final video above.
